Bhado month’s Krishna Paksha Chaturthi is known as Bahula Chaturthi or Bahula Chauth, which is celebrated by people by observing fast. Bahula Chaturthi will be observed on August 5, Sunday, this year.
Rules
1. The fast is observed from early morning till the moon rises.
2. Women are suggested to wake up early in the morning on this day, take a bath and worship Lord Ganesha.
3. For pooja offer 16 items including dhoop, flowers, prasaad etc to Ganesha.
4. Speak less while you observe this fast.
5. Take a bath again in the evening and follow point number 2 and 3.
When the moon rises, offer milk, durva (grass), supari, dhup, akshat to Ganesha, moon and Chaturthi date.
If you follow these rules for Bahula Chaturthi fast, you may get rid of all your sorrows and problems in life.
It is believed that the devotee gets rid of all his/her problems. He/she also earns profit.
